Description
Artist Statement
A line from a country/western song runs through my head-corny but evocative; “ (he) was no stranger to the rain” in reference to a lost brother. I think about all the ways we get rained on and lost, willingly, unwittingly, tragically, sometimes gratefully. Right now we are all getting rained on, and not in a happy way; though some have a mere trickle and others experience a deluge.
No matter how you get rained on it is a solitary experience, we are each alone in our wetness. These unwanted plant dye test samples reminded me of heads from above, most stand isolated except for really messy ones; they are dark, light, absent, but all are singular in a crowd
