Artist Statement 

Although being alone is difficult for many of us, we are reminded that when it comes to man versus nature, in the end, nature usually wins. Our “touch” or impact on nature often has lasting, and sometimes fatal, consequences, and sometimes, nature slaps back. I believe that Covid19 is like a short “time out” for humanity.

It is an opportunity to contemplate on that which is important, and to be grateful for the little pleasures of interacting with others. Yet, while stuck at home, it has also been an opportunity to be still and to learn to be alone with ourselves. Being alone isn’t the end of the world, it's just a matter of creating a new world while being alone.
